The LMA Supreme® combines the best features of all previous LMA® airways in one device. Endotracheal tubes carry an inherent risk of patient trauma. With its integrated gastric tube and verifiable placement, the LMA Supreme®, is now an even more effective alternative. The LMA Supreme® is intended for use in achieving and maintaining control of the airway during routine anaesthesia (fasted patients) and when tracheal intubation fails in non-fasted patients during anaesthetic procedures. It is also intended for use in cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures as well as in the “failed intubation” and the “can’t intubate- can’t ventilate” situation.
